Val di Cornia is an area of Tuscany that contains history, nature and taste. Its territory extends from the coast, mainly flat, up to the hinterland in hilly territory.

The kitchen is divided into two, that of the coast with seafood dishes, fresh fish cooked in a simple way, such as octopus, cuttlefish inzimino, stockfish with potatoes and the famous cacciucco.

In the inland area, however, are typical soups but also dishes of game and vegetables that are combined to perfection with the red wines produced in the area.

Or you can participate in the numerous festivals and events dedicated to food and wine organized in historic villages. Like the wild boar festival of Suvereto or that of the “Schiaccia Campigliese“, a typical dessert with ancient origins of Campiglia Marittima to be enjoyed together with passito or white wines.

Olive Oil production also plays an important role. The Val di Cornia Extra Virgin Olive Oil is intense, fresh and slightly fruity with a slightly spicy taste and excellent to complete the typical dishes of the area.
